In Successware, jobs can begin in a few different ways. A customer might call your office to make an appointment, they could schedule a visit from your website, or you might contact them when an agreement visit is due.
Once the job is initiated, it goes through a cycle from Open to Completed. Below are the different stages of the job lifecycle.
Open - Unscheduled
This is when the job has been created but has not yet been scheduled in Dispatch.
Open - Scheduled
The job has been scheduled in Dispatch.
Open - Assigned
The job has been assigned to a technician or salesperson in Dispatch.
Open - Notified
The technician or salesperson has been notified within the Successware app that this is their next job.
Open - Dispatched
The technician or salesperson has accepted the job and is on their way to the job site.
Open - Onsite
The technician or salesperson has arrived at the job site.
Hold - Awaiting Parts
This is an optional stage of the job lifecycle that is only used when a job is on hold due to parts not being available.
Hold - Pending Credit Approval
This is an optional stage where the work is on hold if the customer is awaiting approval from a financial institution.
Closed - To Be Reviewed - Invoice Posting and Timecard Review
This stage is reached when the technician has finished the job and invoiced the customer. Typically, office staff will need to review the technician's timecard and/or post the invoice from the job.
Completed - Finalized
This is the final stage in the job lifecycle. This is reached when the job has been reviewed by staff in the office, and all parts of the job have been completed.
